Width:

If your rod is already in place, measure the length of the rod, not including the finials. With (A)  is your Width.

If your rod is not already in place, measure the window from the outside of the trim to the outside of the trim from side to side. With (B) is your width.

We recommend extending hardware out from the edges of your window as much as 6"- 12" on each side when possible. And all headers have bulit-in 150% fullness alreadly. This will help make the area look larger, and will also allow as much natural light as possible when the drapery is open.

Length:

If your rod is already in place, measure from the top of the rod.

Usually, there are 3 types of length to choose as the picture shows:

Sill Length: Just touches window sill

Apron Length: Falls 4-6 inches below window frame

Floor Length: Dusts the floor

If your rod is not already in place, measure above the window trim, at the point you intend to mount the rod. This is your length. We recommend mounting your rod a minimum of 4 to 6 inches above the window trim if space allows.
